Frequently asked questions

What PDF formats work?

Both text-based and scanned PDFs work. Text PDFs process faster since we can extract text directly. Scanned PDFs use OCR, which takes slightly longer but works just as well.

Is there a page limit?

Free tier allows up to 20 pages per PDF. Pro plans support up to 200 pages per document. For longer documents, you can split and upload in parts.

What about password-protected PDFs?

You'll need to remove the password first. Once unlocked, the PDF works like any other. We don't store passwords.

Does it read tables and charts?

Yes! Table data is extracted and turned into questions. Chart labels and captions are also processed. Complex visualizations get descriptive questions.

How many questions per PDF?

Roughly 5-10 questions per page of content. A 20-page PDF typically generates 100-200 questions. You can always regenerate for more.
